I was born as a direct result of my parents becoming "christians". That was (my birth) 55 years ago, next month.
My fatther became an independant, Bible believing, fundamental, Baptist preacher. Having already had children, he and my mother "decided" that they would have as many children as the Heavenly Father wanted them to have. They already had been given four by Him; I was the first out after that decision and they were given a total of fifteen pregnancies, with only one mis-carriage. My next youngest brother drowned when he was twelve (1970) and the rest are all still alive, nine boys and five girls.
I was raised with the Word of the Heavenly Father being poured into my ears and eyes all of my young life.
At the age of sixteen, I began to seriously consider just what the Word of the Heavenly Father had to say for myself, as opposed to what all of the so-called Bible experts around me said it was saying. I started in Genesis and was immediately struck with the Word promoting a Sabbath structure of worship. Upon confronting my father with this, his response to me was, "I know that's what it says, son, but that's not what it means". He then repeated the old usual tripe coming from (forgive me if I offend here; that's NOT my intention) current apostate "christianity", which was "That's for the Jews".
What I "heard" my father saying, was that he did not have to obey the Father's Word. My ERRANT response was, "If he doesn't have to follow what the Heavenly Father says (and him being the preacher) then, I dont't either.
That was a mistake that I had to be "exercised" through by our Heavenly Father. Eventually (1977), I found that there were others, not Jews, who honored the Sabbath keeping system of worship on this planet. By this time I was married and had a daughter. The group of Sabbath keepers I encountered were seventh day adventists, and I determined that they were little better than most Baptists, with the most obvious difference being that they kept the Sabbath. Ellen White, I found out through study, did not have "an inside straight" on Prophecy, either. Her take was just different enough to "tickle" the ears of her proponents and maintain enough of a diversity of doctrine to set themselves apart from other "christians".
Evntually (1988), The Heavenly Father knocked me around enough for me to be serious about attempting to seek Him. I began by telling my work, which was the automotive A/C industry (working on the Sabbvath is a must in the hot "months" of the year), that I would no longer work on the Sabbath.
The Sabbath commandment is a test commandment, for the Heavenly Father to "...prove whether or not this people will obey ...". My test, to the company that I worked for, was to see whether or not they would retain me for honoring my Makers commandment. They did; that, in itself, was a hugh blessing. The Heavenly Father could have, just as easily, hardened their heart and sent me packing. He didn't, and I thank Him for that. As a result (I feel), He has honored me with much more information that is NOT available in "lame-stream christianity". I KNOW that the deity the Islamists worship, is NOT the same Heavenly Father of Abraham, Issac and Jacob/Israel.
I said all of that above, to help explain why I was asking about those videos sponsered by muslims. While much of their information on the (free)masons is valid, their "cure" is for all of US to rely on their idols, Mohammad and the mullahs and their deity, whose name means the "curse" in Hebrew. From what I've been given to understand, that's just more BLATENT "baal" (man - men) worship. Thus the question I sent you about the videos. I watched every one BEFORE I sent in the comment. Thanks for responding. pjr
P.S. Am I a "christian"? Many presidents (Reagan, Clinton, Bush and B.O., for starters) claim to be such. I refuse to "boxed" in with their kind. Were Noah or Abraham "christians"? I think not, but whatever they were, that's what I am.
